Katrina's
Angels has approximately 700
registered needy Americans families that we are providing direct relief
to (Clothing, Bedding, Household Items, Housing & Employment
placement) as a result of the hurricane disasters of 2005. Most have
lost everything they owned. It is our goal to put a hand (or machine)
sewn comforter, quilt or bedspread on every adult and child's bed that
is on our list, but we need your help to accomplish this. |

Your
donations and skills will help our volunteers make bedding to keep
families of disaster warm and to raise funds so we can continue
providing aid. How does this project work? Here is a list of several ways you can participate and make a difference for our “Warm Families” project: |

|
Donate
gift cards to fabric stores, retail bedding stores, gently used
or new sheets (any size), fabric, batting and sewing supplies so that
our ‘Sewing Angels’ can continue to
create bedspreads, comforters and quilts. |

|||
|
Become a 'Sewing Angel' in your own community. We need seamstresses/seamsters and Quilters to donate their skills. How about organizing a sewing circle with your crafty friends and adopting families to sew for? Approach Quilting or Sewing Guild to sponsor the Warm Families project for support and participation. | |

|
Quilt
donations and/or suitable merchandise donations for raffle and
auction fundraising purposes will be considered so that we can purchase
the required sewing supplies and provide other means of direct relief. |

Help
spread the word about this project by downloading the Warm
Families project flyer on this webpage and share it with your email
address book, friends, family, co-workers, schoolmates, church,
community, or post it on internet chat boards. Ask permission of local
businesses to put the flyer up in their store. |

Katrina's Angels is registered in the State of Florida and operating with a 501 (c)(3) non-profit status through its parent organization, ATAYAL. (Florida Registration #G05250900278) In 2001, the ATAYAL organization also established Scam Shield, an anti-fraud database and volunteer group. ATAYAL has over 500 volunteers around the world. In this time of need, ATAYAL is shifting its focus and resources to make a difference for the displaced people of Hurricane Katrina.
